The relationship of the Society of Friends Quakers to its members and others who identify as GLBTQ has been an active concern for more than fifty years. This means in many meetings that for meetings to come to unity on such basic issues often requires years of discussion. Compared to other religious organizations, some Quaker groups have been extremely progressive in their understanding of homosexuality. Towards a Quaker View of Sex , written by a committee of British Friends in , had a considerable impact on British and American Quakers and others by its forthright acceptance of homosexuality as natural.

History of the Quakers
The Quakers today agreed to perform marriage ceremonies for same-sex couples and said they would ask the government to change the law to allow Quaker registering officers to register same-sex partnerships in the same way as marriages. At their annual meeting, held at the University of York, members gave their unanimous approval to revise relevant parts of Quaker Faith and Practice to treat gay marriages in the same way as heterosexual unions. Michael Hutchinson, of Quakers in Britain, said: "Many of our meetings have told us that there are homosexual couples who consider themselves to be married and believe this is as much a testimony of divine grace as a heterosexual marriage. They miss the public recognition of this in a religious ceremony. Following the Civil Partnership Act of December , same sex couples in England, Wales and Scotland who share Quaker beliefs may opt for a blessing or commitment ceremony after entering a civil partnership.
Everywhere you look the utterly ungodly LGBT agenda is being thrust in your face as this nefarious campaign permeates virtually every aspect of society. While we do not watch Songs of Praise — it is largely a representation of the old ritualistic deadness of the Church of England — it is still galling to see the vile sin of sodomy paraded as commendable on what is ostensibly a religious programme. While that is largely true, we can still rejoice that God is still on the throne and He can turn events on their head at His will.
